London’s newest affordable housing project, intended to support urban Indigenous mothers, sailed through the first stage of political approval Monday night.

four-story, 42-unit apartment building is proposed for an east London property that used to be home to a Catholic elementary school. Construction should start as early as October at 18 Elm St., politicians heard during a planning committee meeting.
