OAHSSC is mandated to enter into any partnership that it has the capacity to undertake, that supports the Corporate objectives. Currently the Corporation acts as Sponsor to the Sault North Waste Management Council to assist in resolving the issues of waste management, recycling and environmental issues in unincorporated townships. This council is responsible for 35 townships north of Sault Ste Marie, and is the largest area of unincorporated townships in the province seeking solutions to waste management within the context of responsible land stewardship.
