FIMUR Assisted Homeownership Program

Inviting front door

The FIMUR Assisted Homeownership Program can provide up to 15% of the down payment for a home, to a maximum of $30,000.

The loan is forgivable after 10 years. During the forgivable loan period the Applicant does not have to make payments on the loan as long as they are adhering to the Program Guidelines. The application package will provide all of the details on how the loan program works.

Applicants are encouraged to apply even if there is a wait list for the program. Please note that priority applicants for the FIMUR Assisted Homeownership Program (those escaping violence and/or living in social housing) are particularly encouraged to apply as there is not currently a wait list for priority applicants. Although new applications are being accepted, there can be no assurance of future funding availability and the wait list status may change at any time without notice.

To receive additional information regarding this program, please contact Karen Benford, Program Delivery Assistant at 866-391-1061 ext. 318 or kbenford@oahssc.ca
